Vanderbilt University
Vanderbilt University, my alma mater, is a prestigious private research university in Nashville, Tennessee, and one of the best in the United States. But let’s be honest—while the academics are top-notch, Vanderbilt’s true claim to fame might just be its 3:1 squirrel-to-student ratio. Somehow, I found myself becoming the "Squirrel Whisperer" (don’t ask me how). These little guys made me a campus fixture, hopping onto my shoulder and following my command like I’m some Disney princess walking into real life. After a few appearances in local and school newspapers, my squirrel pals became the talk of the campus, sparking research, and plenty of conversations among students and faculty. And, let’s be real, I hit the friend jackpot because of it. In this section, I’ll introduce you to the most famous squirrel individuals that shaped my time at Vanderbilt—each one with their own quirky traits and unforgettable antics. Click on their profile picture to get to know them better and dive into their world of squirrel shenanigans.
